Yes. Shower covers for wound dressings and bandages are designed for brief water contact. Choose a size that fits the dressing without tightening, secure the seal, shower without directing the jet at the opening, and dry thoroughly afterwards. If the bandage becomes damp, it should be changed according to healthcare advice.

Yes, if you use a cover that is intended for immersion. Choose the right size, put it on dry skin, check the seal and start with a short time in the water. Swim slowly, avoid hitting the pool edge and get out immediately if you feel water entering. Stick to the maximum time stated and dry thoroughly afterwards.

When the skin is completely dry, slide the cover over the cast so that the seal is a few centimetres above the edge of the cast. Smooth out any creases, spray a little water on the seal, and make sure that nothing is leaking. Use a non-slip mat, direct the shower jet away from the opening, and do not leave the cover in water. After the shower, wipe off the cover, remove it carefully, and dry both the leg and cast thoroughly. Air out briefly.

Use a model designed for immersion. Measure carefully, apply the protector to dry skin, and make sure the seal is smooth. Move slowly, avoid jumping and water slides, and check the protector regularly. Remove immediately after bathing, and dry skin and cast thoroughly.
